Portia de Rossi and Ellen DeGeneres adore dogs, which is why they have formed a beautiful family that includes three precious and hilarious dogs. Kid has been the last to arrive home. He is a hilarious Brussels Griffon that the couple adopted when he was a puppy. The dog, who has a certain Chewbacca look to him, had a bit of a hard time getting used to living in his new home because he kept waking up. Luckily, he had the support of the rest of his dog brothers. The presenter told her program, The Ellen DeGeneres show, the reasons why she had chosen Kid as the name of the dog, which translated means ‘child’. There were rumors that she and Portia were going to have a child, and sure enough, they already have. They promote adopting cats and dogs, which, by the way, have also had quite a few.

But Ellen and Portia are also ‘mothers’ to two other dogs: Augie and Wolf, who look like a Rat Terrier and a Bichon respectively. They are lucky dogs because their owners go out of their way to take care of them. Portia is even reading a book called “Puppies for dummies” (Pets for dummies).
The couple likes to be very close to their pets, so much so that they even let them climb on the bed and sofa. They usually go for walks to release all the energy they have inside, but on rainy and cold days they prefer, especially Augie, to stay at home lying on their huge round bed in front of the fireplace. Augie also really enjoys walking Portia to the gym, and according to the actress, he’s one of the toughest trainers she’s ever come across.
